IPNews® – The Navajo Nation has recently filed a lawsuit in federal court in New Mexico against popular clothing retailer Urban Outfitters.
The lawsuit accuses the apparel purveyor of illegally using the Navajo trademarked names and designs, as well violations of the federal Indian Arts and Crafts Act. The Navajo Nation is seeking monetary damages and an injunction preventing the retailer from using its trademarks or variations on any products.
